Sky High is a 2005 superhero film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. It follows Will Stronghold, the teenage son of two of the world's greatest superheroes, as he attends a high school where super-powered teens train to be superheroes.
Who is the Candidate?[]
Warren Peace is one of the main characters in Sky High.
He was portrayed by Steven Strait.
What Makes Him a Shonen Rival?[]
- Heroic/Anti-Heroic: Warren played a major role in saving the world from Royal Pain.
- Honorable: While he can be a hothead at times, he respects Will Stronghold and is protective of his friends.
- Intelligent: Warren is highly observant in that he sees that Layla has feelings for Will and even calls Will out for being oblivious.
- Naturally Talented: Unlike Will, who had to train hard before unlocking his powers during the film, Warren is a talented fighter and fire wielder.
- Jerkish: Warren can be insensitive at times.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: Though he eventually abandoned this goal, Warren wanted to avenge his father Battle Baron, who is imprisoned for his crimes, by destroying Will and his father Commander.
- Cynical: Due to being feared by his pears for his reputation as a son of a villain, Warren is a distrustful loner for most of the film.
- Short-Tempered: Befitting of his ability to control fire, Warren has anger issues, especially when someone insults his mother.
- Unnatural Hair Color: While his hair is mostly natural brown, he has red-dyed streaks.
- Redemption Arc: Warren started out as an antagonist towards Will before helping him with saving the world.
Verdict?[]
Easy yes. He is somewhat similar to Katsuki Bakugo from My Hero Academia, as he has a fiery temper, has fire-related abilities and attends a high school for superheroes. Additionally, given that Will Stronghold has been approved as a Shonen Hero, it would make sense for him to be here.
