Danganronpa is a series of visual novels made by Spike Chunsoft.
Danganronpa Trigger-Happy Havoc (THH) is the first installation in the franchise. To explain the game in simplest words, it’s basically Ace Attorney and the Hunger Games shoved together into a game.

Who Are They?[]
Byakuya Togami is the secondary antagonist (However, he is not a villain) in the video game, Danganronpa: Trigger-Happy Havoc. He is titled the Ultimate Affluent Progeny. He returns in the spinoff, Danganronpa Another Episode but only plays a minor role.

Toko Fukawa is a supporting character in the video game, Danganronpa: Trigger-Happy Havoc. She is titled the Ultimate Writing Prodigy. She also returns in the spin off game Danganronpa Another Episode (DRAE), playing a more major role.

What Makes Them Shonen Rivals?[]

- Heroic: In the second game, he helped the survivors escape the killing game and in DRAE, he gave Komaru the hacking gun to fight the monokuma units
- Honourable: He chose to change for the better after the sixth chapter of Trigger-Happy Havoc
- Jerkish/Arrogant: He is a huge snob and is self-centred
- Tragic: In the light novel, Danganronpa Togami, he is revealed to have a rather painful backstory
- Intelligent: He has rather impressive deductive skills amongst his classmates
- Naturally Talented: Well… his talent is literally being an affluent progeny/heir
- Irritable: He tends to be cold and is easily annoyed by stupidity especially when Yasuhiro Hagakure said that Kyoko Kirigiri was “a ghost”.
- Redemption arc: He reforms after Trigger-Happy Havoc
- Perpetual frowner: He frowns in particularly all of his sprites
- Born into privilege: He is literally the Ultimate Affluent Progeny
- Wears black: His jacket and pants are black-ish

- Heroic: Toko convinced Komaru not to break the controller in DRAE, which would let the monokuma kids live
- Honourable: She reluctantly befriended Komaru Naegi and ultimately achieved a character reformation arc
- Tragic: She received a ton of abuse in her childhood, which eventually led to her forming dissociative identity disorder, or DID
- Talented: She published a novel at a young age and received many rewards
- Intelligent: She is a talented writer and is very intelligent when it comes to literacy
- Jerkish/arrogant: She tends to be a jerk and often comes off as rude.
- Pessimistic: She is pretty gloomy and even her alter calls her “Miss Morose”.
- Cynical: She distrusts most people
- Unnatural hair: P u r p l e
- Delinquent: Her alter, Genocide Jack, is a serial killer who killed 37 men by crucifying them with scissors
- Edgelord: She wears dark purple clothes, is cynical and even Kurokuma called her “Emo” in DRAE
