Killua Zoldyck is the deuteragonist of Hunter x Hunter.
He is voiced in Japanese by Kanako Mitsuhashi in the 1999 anime and Annika Odegard in the English dub, while in the 2011 anime he is voiced by Mariya Ise in the Japanese version and Cristina Vee in the English dub.
What Makes Him a Shonen Rival?[]
- Heroic: Killua has helped with saving the world from the Chimera Ants and has nursed Gon back to health.
- Honorable: Despite being an assassin, Killua has remain loyal to his friends to the point never wanting to leave Gon's side, even when the latter is being hostile towards him.
- Tragic: Killua was abused by his older brother Illumi when he was younger when the latter placed needles in his brain that would allow him to manipulate the former, causing Killua to become incapable of being his own person before meeting Gon.
- Intelligent: In contrast to the impulsive and book-dumb Gon, Killua is more strategic and knowledgeable about the world.
- Naturally Talented: Given that he was trained to be an assassin at a young age, Killua has more experience in combat before he can use Nen.
- Is A Serious Threat: Due to being a skilled assassin, his multiple kills make him a mass murderer and not someone to mess with.
- Arrogant/Jerkish: Killua can be boastful when it comes to his abilities and has his moments of being rude to his elders, particularly Biscuit.
- Pursues a Big-End Goal: Killua wants to become a Hunter to avoid continuing his family's legacy as an assassin and forge his own path in life.
