Shonen Rivals who have a long history of botching up their own attempts to win over their opponents more often than not (unless their villainous counterparts or heroic counterparts are just as ineffective).

However, this still doesn't take away the fact that they can still be intelligent, have some semblance of talent and skill, or have some capability at succeeding at certain goals they set out for themselves (either with dumb luck, getting help from others, learning from their mistakes or adopting better and more practical tactics) regardless of the fact that most of their rivaling plots usually fall short and are typically hindered due to weaknesses such as their own arrogance, cowardice, weak strength, poor planning, stupidity or a general lack of common sense serving as direct causes for their repeated failings and fallibilities to outdo others.

Additionally, as a result of their shortcomings and bungling, it often causes them to frequently embarrass and humiliate themselves in front of others as well (sometimes certain narratives have them serve as comical mess ups as a compare and contrast to more competent characters).

NOTE: Keep in mind that this category only refers to incompetence in terms of botched strategies going into rivalry, not professionalism or occupational skills, the latter would just go under Dimwits, Arrogant or Misguided instead.
